Nope, I haven't fish all weather and all times but I don't much see the need when I can't even get fish to take a lure they should be smashing at peak times.Įdit: In talking to other people this is not the same for everyone and for some they are castching on bigger lures during the same timeframes. With exception to sunny days any of the larger lures are simply useless on this map now. My choices are to equip lighter gear to equip a lighter lure and likely get spooled or to float fish. If salmon will not hit a 3/0 lure during peak fishing time (without a sometimes light hit on second pass by the fish) it doesn't matter how many fish there are or how spread out they are.
So regardless of update and making things more random, spreading out uni times this update is a complete failure. If one has to goto lures so small they cannot effectively be used on gear designed for the map.
The fact that the bite gets so bad that fish will barely hit on a 3/0 lure is a big part of the problem. Spreading out the spawns and making them more random may make it easier for someone new on the map to get a few fish but getting consistent catches is now much more difficult. Yeah, not convinced it is better overall. In all honesty, I still don't think that whatever they did implement server side has fixed the problem. Not really that fun still when you are only catching 7-10 fish for an entire day when it's cloudy and other people are getting a full 660lb+. it's really only a minor fee IF and WHEN you are able to catch fish though. And yes, I realize that the current cost to travel and fish there is reduced due to the current bugs in Alaska. That can be annoying and frustrating since you need to pay the travel fees to get back. One-off maybe? Yeah, that seems to change the weather pattern to more of a random 5-day forecast (Partly Cloudy / Partly Cloudy / Sunny / Partly Cloudy / Cloudy). Just did that and upcoming weather completely changed which is unusual.
